International Congress
on Gastronomic Education

About the event

Basque Culinary Center is organising the first edition of the International Congress on Gastronomic Education with the aim of disseminating, discussing and exchanging knowledge about the teaching and learning process of Gastronomic Sciences.

The event will gather teachers, experts from the field of academia/teaching and professionals from education centres, to discuss the future of a growing field of education.

During the two days there will be an analysis of trends in the sector, new learning methodologies and the role of technology and digitisation in classrooms through conferences, round tables and workshops.

Call for papers

Become part of the event by presenting your paper!

If your paper is chosen, you’ll have the opportunity to do a 10-minute presentation and to answer the audience's final questions. The lectures must be accompanied by a presentation.

The paper, which can be either in Spanish or in English,
must be related to one or more of the following fields:

In order to register for the Call for presentation papers a document must be sent with the following details:

  • Name and surnames of the authors
  • Institution they work for
  • Brief CV of the authors
  • Email address of the authors
  • Field the paper belongs to
  • Title of the communication proposed
  • Abstract of the communication (10-15 lines)
  • Key words (5-8 words)

The key dates for the submission of papers are:

  • 20 April

    Call for papers deadline

  • 11 May

    Final decision on the selection of speakers and communications

  • 5 June

    Submission of the definitive presentation
